Mariporoco Cliff

Mariporoco Cliff is located on Kahatola Island, Loloda District, West Halmahera Regency, Indonesia. This cliff is not far from Kahatola Waterfall, only about 100-200 meters.


Mariporoco Cliff in Kahatola, Loloda District is like a miniature Raja Ampat. This rock cliff is one of the unique geological phenomena formed from volcanic deposits in the form of lava, lava, and volcanic ash from Mount Jailolo which is believed to have erupted before 1600.

The rock cliffs covered in green plants stand firmly above the turquoise waters. This view will be even more stunning when viewed from a height. This location is very instagrammable so that it is often a photo spot for tourists.

The exotic cliffs are side by side with the crystal clear sea water, creating an extraordinarily beautiful landscape frame. Unfortunately, this area is often hit by quite strong sea currents so that when tourists come they can only see the beauty of these cliffs from afar without being able to step on them. Well, the ocean currents at this steeply cliffed karst rock location are often difficult to compromise with.

The combination of towering cliffs surrounded by turquoise sea water makes this cliff a piece of heaven in West Halmahera. The tranquility and comfort around this cliff are the added value of this place. It is still very natural, clean and very instagrammable.

When going to Kahatola Island, it is better to combine the travel package between Mariporoco Cliff and Kahatola Waterfall. Because, from the waterfall location to Mariporoco Cliff, it only takes about 10 minutes.

Like to reach Kahatola Waterfall, to reach Mariporoco Cliff, visitors can also use a boat from Daruba Harbor to Galo-Galo Village, then continue the journey on foot. This route provides a unique experience. Visitors can enjoy the beautiful sea view before arriving at their destination. Another alternative is to go directly through Jailolo Harbor with a travel time of 2 hours. Piala Waterfall

Piala Waterfall is located in Hanga-hanga Village, South Luwuk District, Banggai Regency, Central Sulawesi, Indonesia

Piala Waterfall has several levels, the surrounding forest is still beautiful, green and quite dense, if the weather is sunny and not rainy, this waterfall has light blue water. Piala Waterfall has a fairly fast flowing water that comes from a spring above the waterfall. The water is clear greenish with white rocks below. This waterfall has an average height of about 7 meters at each waterfall that flows. The flowing water is very clear and not so fast, so it is safe for swimming and playing in the water.


Piala Waterfall is located in a forest with quite dense trees, the surrounding atmosphere feels beautiful and cool. The chirping of birds typical of Sulawesi can be heard in all directions, as a sign to visitors that the habitat in the area is still preserved.


For visitors who can swim, they can try the coolness of the water or soak, but be careful considering that the pool under the waterfall has a fairly deep area. If visitors cannot swim, they can just sit around the waterfall. Visitors can also dip their feet around the waterfall to feel the freshness. Visitors can feel the sensation of the waterfall at the highest level by walking along the steps and wooden footbridge.

From the entrance, visitors can walk to the location about 200 meters and climb about 10 steps. The path that will be passed is not too difficult even though you have to pass through a relatively small path. At some points on the journey, visitors must be careful and hold on to the rope.


Tourist facilities that can be enjoyed by visitors include changing rooms, toilets, parking areas, and places to eat that provide various snacks. Meanwhile, the distance from Luwuk District, the capital of Banggai Regency, to Piala Waterfall is about 8.7 kilometers with a travel time of approximately 30 minutes.
