Beautiful Scenery from Central Sulawesi

Central Sulawesi is a province in the central part of Sulawesi Island, Indonesia. This provincial capital is the city of Palu. The province is Central Sulawesi Sulawesi island with a land area of 68.033 square kilometers and a sea area of 189.480 square kilometers, is located at the western islands of Maluku and the southern part of the State Philippines. As with other areas, the province has many beautiful natural scenery, some of which are as follows :

1. Taman Nasional Lore Lindu (Lore Lindu National Park)

Lore Lindu National Park is one of the locations Sulawesi biological protection. Lore Lindu National Park is located about 60 kilometers south of the city of Palu. Extensive National Park 217.991 hectares with an altitude varying between 200 to 2,610 meters above sea level. Lore Lindu National Park has a fauna and flora endemic to Sulawesi and natural scenery appealing because it is located in Wallacea line which is a region of transition zone between Asia and Australia.

Lore Lindu National Park located in the southern part of the district of Donggala and Poso district barracks into the catchment area for three major rivers in Central Sulawesi, namely Lariang rivers, streams and rivers Gumbasa Palu. Lore Lindu National Park area is a habitat for the largest native mammal in Sulawesi. Dwarf buffalo, hog deer, deer, monkey ghosts, monkeys kakaktonkea, steamed marsupials and the largest meat-eating animals in Sulawesi, live in this park. Lore Lindu National Park also have at least 5 kinds of squirrels and 31 of 38 rat, including endemic species.

2.  Pantai Tanjung Karang (Tanjung Karang Beach)

Pantai Tanjung Karang is a beach located in the bay of Palu, which goes into the city of Donggala and is about 40 kilometers from the city of Palu. Tanjung Karang Beach has a calm and friendly waves and white sand. For lovers of diving and snorkeling area is very suitable because the water is very clear and the Tanjung Karang known for its rich coral reefs. In addition, tourists can enjoy open views across the bay of Palu and Makassar Strait with the flurry of boats out of the harbor Pantoloan and fishing boats in the bay of Palu.

3. Air Terjun Saluopa (Saluopa Waterfall)

Saluopa Waterfall is a waterfall located in the village Tonusu, North Pamona, Poso, Central Sulawesi province. The location is about 12 kilometers west of the town of Tentena, North Pamona district capital, or about 54 kilometers southeast of Poso Regency. This waterfall has a height of about 25 meters and the water flows between the 12-storey limestone rocks arranged. Each level was not slippery and can climb up to the top level.

4. Danau Poso (Poso Lake)

Poso Lake is a lake located in the province of Central Sulawesi, Indonesia. Precisely in Poso district. This lake is the third largest lake in Indonesia by having a length of 32 km and a width of 16 km. The lake is located at an altitude of 657 m. Lake Poso is one of the most beautiful lakes in the world with white sand is located on the edge of the lake until at Basic. Lake Poso is located in North Pamona sub capital of Tentena.

5.  Taman Nasional Kepulauan Togean 

(Togean Islands National Park)

Togean Islands National Park is a national park in Togean located in the Gulf of Tomini, Central Sulawesi. Administratively, this region is in Tojo Una-una. The islands are known for its rich coral reefs and other marine life are rare and protected. Some actions that can be done in Togean include: diving and snorkelling in Pulau Kadidiri, fishing, exploring the natural forest in the jungle in the island Malenge, as well as visiting Colo mountain on the island of Una-una. Tourists can also visit the settlement of the Bajo in Kabalutan.



 

6. Danau Lindu (Lindu Lake)

Lindu lake is a lake that is located in the district Kulawi, Sigi regency, Central Sulawesi province, Indonesia and is located in Lore Lindu National Park. Region is often called the Plain Lindu is surrounded by ridges making it difficult to reach by motor vehicle, having four villages of Puroo, Langko village, village and village Anca Tomado. All four villages are located on the shores of Lake Lindu are quite famous beauty.

7. Teluk Palu (Palu Bay)

Palu Bay is a bay located on the west coast of the island of Sulawesi, Central Sulawesi province. Its name comes from the city of Palu. Palu Bay is known for the warmth of the water and also the view of the surrounding hills. Palu Bay has a depth of 400 meters. With a length of 30 kilometers plus a width of 10 kilometers, 

8. Pulau Lingayan (Lingayan Island)

Lingayan Island is one of the tourist potential in Tolitoli. Located between the Sulawesi Sea and the Makassar Strait, the island is listed as one of the 92 outermost islands in Indonesia with an area of approximately 122 hectares. White sand and rocks are beautiful and large spread out along the coast of the island circle. In other parts, there is a section in which to fishing and diving. In addition to the white sandy islands and beautiful panorama, the waters around the island Lingayan also rich in beautiful underwater scenery. This is because the location of the meeting Lingayan located in the Makassar Strait and the Sulawesi Sea. 

9.  Danau Dampelas (Dampelas Lake)

Dampelas lake is a lake that is located on the west coast of Donggala, Central Sulawesi, Indonesia, precisely under the foot of the mountain Sitangke, Desa Talaga, District Damsol, about 170 kilometers north of the city of Palu. There has been no official information about the breadth and depth of this lake. Lake Dampelas utilization as a source of water for bathing and washing for residents in the vicinity. On the edges grow sago trees planted to local residents for a long time as a food source. 

10. Pulau Dua (Dua Island)

Pulau Dua located in District Balantak, Banggai, Central Sulawesi and become a tourism mascot of Banggai. Not many people know about the sights on this one. However, the island has a very beautiful natural scenery of lush. The presence of rock that grows under the sea is increasingly adding exotic island. Not to mention the atmosphere of calmness and coolness owned this island, it is the place that the right to unwind.

11. Pantai Nalera (Nalera Beach)

Nalera beach located in the Marantale village, about 65 kilometers from the city of Palu and can be reached by four wheel drive vehicles for 3 hours. The potential is quite interesting because it has white sandy beaches along the 5 kilometers. Nalera beach has waves are relatively calm and has a coolness as surrounded by large trees around its coastline

12. Pulau Pasoso (Pasoso Island)

Pasoso island located in the district Balaesang, Donggala, 100 kilometers north of the city of Palu. To reach the island Pasoso traveled by road and continued to use the motor. Trip to P. Pasoso from Palu to Labe and continued through the sea for 3 hours.
Pasoso known as Turtle Island, especially the Green Turtle. Green turtle population is very high in this island. Between September and October turtles that spawn in coastal island Pasoso. When staying in this island can be witnessed sunrise and sunset.

13. Air Terjun Likunggawali (Likunggawali Waterfalls)

Likunggawali located in Marantale, District Ampibabo about 65 km from the city of Palu. The waterfall is stratified. The highest rate of approximately 40 m and has a cave with a few booths. The cave is filled with bird's nest. The waterfall near the sea and visitors can swim in the Gulf of Tomini or see the beautiful sunrise from the eastern horizon.
This attraction is a sport of rock climbing that steep of more than 80 meters and has a beautiful natural scenery. At this location there are also waterfalls and trekking paths that pass through several villages around, which Likunggawali Line-Janaedo (a trekking path from the east coast to the west coast) and trekking paths Towera-Janaedo.

14. Pantai  Bambahano (Bambahano Beach)

Bambahano beach is located in the village of Sabang, Damsol District of Donggala, Central Sulawesi, Indonesia. The distance from the town of Palu can travel for approximately three and a half hours.
In the vicinity of the beach, there are two major coral. From the top of the reef will be seen around the beauty of the beach Bambahano. The water is very clear facilitate our eyes see motion - the movements of fish. Not only that, the white sand was spread along the coast.
On the other side of the beach is also a meeting of fresh water with sea water. The fresh water is water from the lake Talaga. After swimming at the beach, you can rinse yourself at the confluence of two currents of water.
