North Maluku (Indonesian: Maluku Utara) is a province of Indonesia. It covers the northern part of the Maluku Islands. The provincial capital is Sofifi, on Halmahera. North Maluku province consists of 395 large and small islands scattered in the waters amazing. The island has been inhabited by as many as 64 pieces and are not populated as much as 331 pieces.

North Maluku has a maritime tourist attraction in the form of islands and a beautiful beach with a marine park as well as various types of ornamental fish species. Natural attractions such as rock holes spread almost throughout the region. There are also travel at the same national park forest with endemic species in the world ranking to 10. Some of the natural beauty of North Maluku province are as follows:

1. Pulau Kakara (Kakara Island)

Kakara Island is one of a cluster of islands in front of Tobelo town, the capital of North Halmahera, which can be reached ± 15 minutes by motorized boat. White sandy beaches, crystal-clear sea water and the area beaches shaded by leafy trees make Kakara as a popular tourist destination.

2. Pulau Dodola (Dodola Island)

Dodola is just 5 miles from the Daruba, South Morotai district capital. The island is surrounded by white sandy beaches stretch very spacious connecting Dodola Dodola Large and Small. In addition to its natural beauty, Dodola also save a lot of memories of World War II history. 3. Pulau Pawole (Pawole Island)

Ternate Sulamadaha coast, is in the northern city of Ternate, though not white sand, but has its own charm. The beach is directly opposite the Hiri Island, with its green hills. From the beaches, Mount Hiri obvious as it appeared on the surface of the sea. Hiri Island, used to be a place of exile Djabir Sultan Muhammad Shah (Sultan of Ternate father now), which is intentionally displaced that are not captured by Dutch troops.

5. Pulau Morotai (Morotai Island)

Morotai Island is an island in the Halmahera group of eastern Indonesia's Maluku Islands . It is one of Indonesia's northernmost islands.

It has an area of some 1,800 square kilometres (690 sq mi), stretching 80 kilometres (50 mi) north-south and no more than 42 kilometres (26 mi) wide. The principal town on Morotai's east coast, 68 kilometres (42 mi) from Daruba.[citation needed] Between Halmahera and the islets and reefs of the west coast of Morotai is the Morotai Strait, which is about 10 kilometres (6.2 mi) wide.

Gamalama is a near-conical stratovolcano that comprises the entire Ternate island in Indonesia. The island lies off the western shore of Halmahera island in the north of the Maluku Islands. Bacan Island is a place of Labuha city, the capital of South Halmahera. Bacan Island which lies in the southwest of the island of Halmahera is a lush island with lots of fruit trees, fish and seafood such as seaweed, pearls and sea cucumbers and rich with plantation crops such as cocoa, copra, cloves and today the region Bacan East began much nutmeg trees planted. The island is also known for its beautiful colored rock. The island has an area of 2,053 Km2

10. Teluk Jailolo (Jailolo Bay) 

Jailolo Bay is a bay that is included in the districts of Jailolo in West Halmahera, North Maluku. This bay over the last few years is used for a festival for the celebration of life and culture, held annually by The Regency of West Halmahera

11. Pantai Bobane Ici (Bobane Ici Beach)

Bobane Ici beach is located approximately 20 kilometers in the western part Ternate Island. The waves are fierce and filled with large rocks, making tourists are advised not to swim here. This beach is equipped with facilities such as lodging, food stalls edge of the beach and pool.

12.  Danau Laguna (Laguna Lake)

Laguna Lake is located in the village of Ngade, Village Fitu, Southern District of Kota Ternate, North Maluku. Located about 18 km from Kota Ternate. Kupakupa beach is located in the village Kupakupa within 20 Km south of the city Tobelo, North Halmahera district.  Kupakupa barch have unique characteristics in the form of a banyan-ketapan trees growing along the waterfront. 18. Pulau Bobale (Bobale Island)

Cobo beach is located at Cobo bay, village cobodoe, tidore northern part of the island, North Maluku Province with a distance of 18 kilometers in the northern city of Tidore. In the vicinity of this beach lined hills with greenish productive forest which adds a wonderful view of the bay beach.
From this beach, we can see the other islands in the north tidore like the island of Halmahera and Sidangoli. Cobo beach is very famous for its beautiful beaches and fine white sand, the beach is unfortunately not managed by the city of Tidore.
