Tekaan Telu Waterfall, beautiful natural scenery in North Sulawesi

Tekaan Telu waterfall is located on the main road of Manado Tomohon, precisely in Tinoor sub-district, North Tomohon District, Tomohon City, North Sulawesi Province, Indonesia

Previously, many local and foreign tourists visited this tourist attraction but took the old route. Visitors will pass through an old road which is usually used by local people. The road pioneered by Tinoor village residents a long time ago will indeed pass through plantation roads. When the rainy season arrives, this area is dangerous because apart from the slippery ground, the road continues to slope down to the location of the waterfall.

The Tomohon city government seems to be aware of this tourism potential, currently a new road has been built to reach the Tekaan Telu waterfall location. Visitors enter through the wide main gate. By paying a fee of IDR 5,000, tourists will pass along a neatly paved paved road.

The comfort while trekking down the road to the Tekaan Telu waterfall location is truly extraordinary. On the side of the paving road, you can see shady trees and various types of plants that visitors can see. Visitors can easily find trees with large diameters.

Estimated to be around 500 meters, visitors will pass through a paving block road while feeling the sensation of walking in the middle of a virgin forest. The beautiful panorama will pamper tourists who are thirsty for natural beauty.

This waterfall is called Tekaan Telu, which means three waterfalls in Minahasa. But if you pay attention, this naming is not quite right because there are now four waterfalls.

Facilities such as a route to the location are quite adequate with asphalt which will make it easier for anyone to come here. This route can not only be traversed by two-wheeled riders, but also four-wheeled riders. Plus access to the location from the entrance gate uses paving blocks

Apart from that, the camping ground available here is also another facility of Tinoor Waterfall. This camping ground is often used as a scout camping spot. Not only that, currently there are several food stalls serving local specialties here. So tourists don't need to bring food supplies when they want to visit Tinoor Waterfall. To make it easier to find the location of Tekaan Telu waterfall, it has been marked on Google Maps

Mount Lokon, a unique volcano

One of the unique mountains in Indonesia is Mount Lokon. Mount Lokon is an active volcano located near the city of Tomohon, North Sulawesi, Indonesia. This mountain has a height of around 1,580 meters above sea level and is famous as one of the popular natural tourist destinations in North Sulawesi.

Mount Lokon is said to be unique because the main crater is not at the top of the mountain, but on the side of the mountain, so that even though it has erupted several times, the top of the mountain can still be seen from a distance, because the eruption occurred in the crater on the side of the mountain.

Mount Lokon offers spectacular and challenging natural views for climbers. At the top of this mountain, visitors can see stunning views, including panoramic views of Tomohon city and exotic green mountains.

To reach the top of Mount Lokon, visitors must make a fairly challenging climb. However, during the climb, visitors will pass various amazing natural views such as valleys, forests and clear rivers. There are several climbing routes to choose from, namely the Kakaskasen route, Kinilow route and Tinoor route.

Mount Lokon has been recorded as having erupted several times, the violent onslaught of the eruption of Mount Lokon, North Sulawesi, had the effect of raising the land surface and allowing long-buried ancient objects to emerge to the surface. One of them is the discovery of the sole of the left foot in the midst of the eruption of Mount Lokon last Monday, August 1 2011 at Momo Plantation, Tomohon, North Sulawesi.

The discovery of these footprints shocked residents, because the soles of the feet were giant and very old. Local archaeologists estimate that these giant feet are a relic of pre-historic times. Meanwhile, local residents believe that the jumbo footprints belong to Siow Kurur or one of the ancestors of the Minahasa tribe who was large.

These footprints were initially discovered by a number of local residents accidentally in a Mo'mo plantation complex in Kinilow I Village. The size of these feet is fantastic. When measured, the footprints left on the stone were 72 centimeters long and 30 centimeters wide, or five times larger than the normal size of a human foot. Archaeologists from the Manado Archaeological Center who examined the footprints, suspect that the footprints of this giant's left foot are a relic from pre-historic times or the megalithic era or the Great Stone Age.

For adventurers and nature lovers, Mount Lokon is an interesting destination to visit. To make it easier, the location of Mount Lokon has been marked on Google Maps

This Beautiful Beach is called Cicalobak Beach

Cicalobak Beach is located in Karang Wangi Village, Mekarmukti District, Garut Regency. This beach is on the edge of the South West Java Trans route.

Cicalobak Beach is dominated by rows of coral reefs. The stretch of coral on this beach has a soft and smooth texture so it is safe for the human body, especially the feet. Apart from that, the shape is also flat and flat so it is very fun to use as a place to hang out with friends. The coral reefs on Cicalobak beach when viewed from a distance are like a mat that seems to cover the beach sand.

Around Cicalobak Beach, precisely on the side of the West Java Trans Road, wild grass grows neatly. This view is very unique because after the grass there is a beach with coral reefs. From a distance you will see 3 beautiful color gradations, namely green from the grass, blackish brown from the coral reefs, and navy blue from the sea water on the beach.

The Cicalobak beach management built a hut or what is usually called a beach house on a flat coral reef. This Saung looks more like a throne standing in the middle of the sea when seen from a distance. Entrance ticket charged IDR 5,000 in October 2023 (price may change at any time)

Cicalobak Beach is still a new beach and has very few visitors compared to Ranca Buaya Beach or other beaches in Garut. Because the shape of Cicalobak beach juts out into a small bay, this beach is quite safe for swimming. Beaches with fairly shallow bottoms are very safe, especially for children. The bottom of the bay is filled with soft sand so parents don't need to be afraid if their swimming children step on coral reefs or are hit by coral reefs while swimming.

A natural wonder where we can walk into the middle of the sea as far as 2 km from the beach. If you want to prove it, you can come yourself to Ngurtafur Beach or what is also known as Ngurtavur Beach.

Apart from the beauty of the white sandy beach, this beach also has no trees or other plants, it's just like a stretch of white sand in the ocean. The length of Ngurtafur Beach itself is around 2 km, winding like a snake when we look from a height. As if it were a path to the middle of the sea.
