Tanarara Hill, feels like a fairy tale

Tanarara Hill is located in Maubokul Village, East Sumba Regency, East Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia or about 68 kilometers from Waingapu City with a travel time of about 2-3 hours.

Tanarara Hill offers a panoramic view of the expanse of savanna that makes the eyes comfortable to look at it. Filled with green vegetation on the right and left, when viewed from the top of the hills in this area it has a stunning curved shape, with a unique hill rock topography.

During the rainy season, this hill's soil color is dominated by fresh green, but during the dry season the scenery here changes to brownish.

The word 'Tanarara' itself means 'red soil', this may be because the soil around the savanna hill is red or clay. Access to the Bulit Tanarara location is quite difficult because the road is relatively narrow, there are no road signs, and it is far from the center of the crowd even though it has been smoothly paved. The road winds through the hills, it should be noted that the condition of the road here is not wide enough.

One of the best times to visit Tanarara Hill is when the sun begins to rise in civilization, and when dawn begins to shine its light. This hilly area certainly can not only be enjoyed directly, but also captured with a camera as an unforgettable moment during a vacation in the Sumba area.

The further the visitor drives the more beautiful the scenery that appears and is presented. Occasionally visitors will encounter a herd of animals crossing the road.

Visitors can go there using two-wheeled or four-wheeled vehicles, which have been confirmed to be in prime condition. The beauty of this panorama does not require expensive costs to be enjoyed. Just equipped with time and energy, to be able to arrive at this place and the green hilly landscape is ready to soothe the eyes of those who see it.
There is no entrance ticket whatsoever, because this area is public property. So that it can be enjoyed by anyone and at any time. To make it easier to find the location of this hill, it has been marked on Google Maps
