Central Sulawesi is a province in the central part of Sulawesi Island, Indonesia. This provincial capital is the city of Palu. The province is Central Sulawesi Sulawesi island with a land area of 68.033 square kilometers and a sea area of 189.480 square kilometers, is located at the western islands of Maluku and the southern part of the State Philippines. 1. Taman Nasional Lore Lindu (Lore Lindu National Park)
Lore Lindu National Park is one of the locations Sulawesi biological protection. Lore Lindu National Park is located about 60 kilometers south of the city of Palu. Extensive National Park 217.991 hectares with an altitude varying between 200 to 2,610 meters above sea level. Lore Lindu National Park has a fauna and flora endemic to Sulawesi and
natural scenery appealing because it is located in Wallacea line which
is a region of transition zone between Asia and Australia.
Lore Lindu National Park located in the southern part of the district
of Donggala and Poso district barracks into the catchment area for three
major rivers in Central Sulawesi, namely Lariang rivers, streams and
rivers Gumbasa Palu. Lore Lindu National Park area is a habitat for the largest native mammal in Sulawesi. Dwarf
buffalo, hog deer, deer, monkey ghosts, monkeys kakaktonkea, steamed
marsupials and the largest meat-eating animals in Sulawesi, live in this
park. Lore Lindu National Park also have at least 5 kinds of squirrels and 31 of 38 rat, including endemic species.
2. Pantai Tanjung Karang (Tanjung Karang Beach)
Pantai Tanjung Karang is a beach located in the bay of Palu, which goes into the city of Donggala and is about 40 kilometers from the city of Palu. Tanjung Karang Beach has a calm and friendly waves and white sand. For lovers of diving and snorkeling area is very suitable because the water is very clear and the Tanjung Karang known for its rich coral reefs.
