Cisolok Geyser is located in Wangunsari Village, Cisolok
District, Sukabumi Regency. This location is about 16 km from the city of
Pelabuhan Ratu. The definition of a geyser is a natural geyser that shoots into
the air.
The Cisolok Geyser shoots hot water from the bowels of the
earth continuously for 24 hours without stopping. There are several points that
shoot hot water into the air at heights from 3.5 to dozens of meters. Currently
the Cisolok geyser is included in the Ciletuh Geopark area.
In Indonesia, you cannot find the geyser phenomenon other
than in Cisolok, Sukabumi. According to geological researchers, the geyser
phenomenon is difficult to find anywhere in the world. The Cisolok Sukabumi
Geyser is the only rare phenomenon that is still active today. Apart from
Cisolok Sukabumi, this type of geyser is only found in Brazil.
Cisolok Geyser is very unique because it is located near the
beach. In fact, in general, geysers will be located in mountainous and
mountainous areas. After further investigation, the hot water that gushes from
three points in the Cisolok hot springs is the result of water that gushes out
as a geyser (the water is hot because it passes directly through the earth's
crust and can reach 80 degrees Celsius).
This hot spring is open from 8 am to 6 pm. The entry ticket
price for this hot spring is IDR 30,000 excluding parking tickets. Meanwhile,
the swimming pool that can be used per person costs IDR 5,000 per hour. Apart
from that, a fee of Rp. 15,000 is charged for bathing in a closed bathroom. To
take part in hot water therapy by experts, a fee of IDR 35,000 is charged, with
prices subject to change at any time.
