Beautiful Scenary from North Sulawesi


North Sulawesi is an Indonesian province on the island of Sulawesi. It’s known for its dive sites, nature parks and volcanic mountains. Bunaken National Park encompasses several islands and is home to coral reefs and many types of fish. Off the east coast, the Lembeh Strait has unique marine creatures, like seahorses. Crested black macaques and tarsiers (tiny primates) inhabit the Tangkoko Batuangus Nature Reserve. Spacious North Sulawesi province is 13.852 km² and its capital Manado. Some beauty of North Sulawesi province are as follows :

1. Taman Laut Nasional Bunaken (Bunaken National Park)
Bunaken is an island of 8 km², part of the Bunaken National Marine Park. Bunaken is located at the northern tip of the island of Sulawesi, Indonesia. It belongs administratively to the municipality of Manado. Scuba diving attracts many visitors to the island.
Bunaken National Park extends over an area of 890.65 km² of which only 3% is terrestrial, including Bunaken Island, as well as the islands of Manado Tua, Mantehage, Nain and Siladen. The waters of Bunaken National Marine Park are up to 1,566 m deep in Manado Bay, with temperatures ranging between 27 to 29 °C. It has a high diversity of - corals, fish, echinoderms or sponges. Notably, 7 of the 8 species of giant clams that occur in the world, occur in Bunaken.



2. Danau Tondano (Tondano Lake)
Tondano Lake is the largest lake in North Sulawesi, Indonesia. The lake is flanked by Lembean Mountains, Mount Kaweng, Tampusu Hill, and Mount Masarang. The lake is surrounded by roads linking the provincial and city Tondano, East Tondano the District, District Eris, Kakas sub-district, District Remboken, and the District of South Tondano. This lake is a lake producer of freshwater fish such as tilapia fish, pior / kabos, payangka wiko (small shrimp), nikesepat noon (arowana), tawes, Pongkor, bontayan, black lobster, guramekupu butterfly, carp. The lake width 4.278ha / 42,78km³, and there is a small island called Likri (next village districts Tandengan Eris) and papalembet island near toulumembet.



3. Pantai Likupang (Likupang Beach)

This beach is one of the beaches are well known in North Sulawesi Province. His name is Likupang Beach. The exact location is in District Likupang, North Minahasa Regency, North Sulawesi. The distance is about 48 kilometers northeast of the center of the city of Manado. Likupang beaches have white sand beaches, green hills and blue sea water fresh and the waves were relatively quiet, On this beach, you can snorkel, diving and fishing.



4. Air Terjun Kali (Kali Waterfall)
Waterfalls Kali Located in the village of Kali, Pineleng about 10 kilometers southeast of Manado, this waterfall is also known by locals as "Tapahan telu" or three waterfalls. The highest waterfall here has recorded a height of 60 meters while the lowest was found to have a height of about 20 meters.



5. Pulau Lembeh (Lembeh Island)
Lembeh Island is an island entered the administrative area of Bitung in North Sulawesi, IndonesiaThe island is famous for being foreign tourists dive sites in addition to Bunaken in North Sulawesi. The island Lembeh reached 50.90 km2. Transport to the island lembeh should use a small boat from the small harbor with old winenet about 30 minutes. 



6. Danau Linow (Linow Lake)
Linow Lake area of approximately 35 hectares and a depth of about 5 meters is located in the town of Tomohon. Tomohon is known as the city of flowers is about an hour drive or approximately 27 kilometers from the city of Manado. From the height of the hill, Lake Linow color can vary, from blue, green to yellowish brown. The color change was caused by the sulfur content in the lake. 7. Pulau Siladen (Siladen Island)
Siladen Island Tourism is one of the five islands in the Bunaken National Park in Manado, North Sulawesi. Siladen Island has a marine park with fish and coral reefs are colorful as well as a beautiful cave. Located in the northeast of the island of Bunaken, Bunaken Subdistrict about 8 miles from the city center which can be reached in 45 minutes by boat. Siladen island has an area of 31.25 hectares, but kept the captivating beauty of marine tourism. If in Bunaken is famous for the beauty of the sea, the island of Siladen further highlight the beauty of the coastline.



8. Pantai Lakban (Lakban Beach)
Lakban beach located in the District of Ratatotok, Southeast Minahasa, North Sulawesi is one of the promising tourist potential. From the city of Manado, tourists have to travel three hours away by four-wheel vehicles. This attraction has a fairly complete facilities. Travelers can rent a boat to get around or visiting a small island near the coast. Including exploring the Buyat Bay with views of coral clusters. On the beach there are also expectations of a hill. 9. Danau Moat (Moat Lake)
Moat Lake is a lake that is in Mooat, Modayag, Bolaang East Mongondow, North Sulawesi. This lake's name comes from the word in the language Mongondow, Mo'oat, which means "Land that arise in the middle of the water". In this lake Sogili live eels (Anguilla celebesensis). The lake is located in an altitude of about 1,100 meters above sea level, as well as the extent of 617 ha. Moat Lake is part of the nature reserve of Mount Threshold Zone, which is located in Bolaang Mongondow south of the city of Manado with the distance of about 140 km.



10. Cagar Alam Tangkoko (The Nature Preserve of Mt. Takoko)
Tangkoko batuangus nature reserve is a nature reserve in the district of Bitung North, Bitung, North Sulawesi. Nature reserves covering approximately 8745 hectares of this is Sulawesi black monkey sanctuary and the tarsiers. Within this area there Batuputih Travel Parks and Wildlife Nature Batuangus. Mount Tangkoko nature reserve in the eastern city of Manado at a distance of about 57 km.



11.  Pulau Mahoro Siau (Mahoro Siau Island)
Mahoro Island is a small uninhabited island in located in the region of Siau, Sitaro Regency, North Sulawesi Province. Its beauty is contained in a unique variety of marine tourism and sites of historical stories. The beauty is not only on land but also in view of their island under the sea around the beach. On this island there is a white sand beach with clear blue water, shallow and does not have current so it is not intimidating to be the location of a shower for everyone including children. Coral reefs can already be found at a depth of more than 1 meter at this location. The location is only about 3 meters from the beach Mahoro Island. All kinds of marine life in this location. On Mahoro island there is also a stone cave which became the location of the production of bird's nest. On this island there is also a former Portuguese fort. 12. Pulau Lihaga (Lihaga Island)
Lihaga Island is uninhabited island and is located in a hidden Likupang, North Sulawesi. The island is an island that has white sand that is very charming. 13.  Taman Laut Tumbak (Tumbak Marine Park)

Tumbak Marine Park is located in the village Tumbak, Southeast Minahasa Regency, North Sulawesi. The park has a beautiful coral reef is amazing. 14. Pulau Manado Tua (Manado Tua Island)
Manado Tua is one of the island part of the Bunaken Marine Park area. Manado Tua is in limits in the District Bunaken Manado Bay, the island can be reached in 60 minutes from the Port of Manado using sea transportation such as ships or with other marine transportation. the marine park has a diverse marine life that is rare among dolphins and various species of ornamental fish such as Hippocampus sp, Green Turtle or a Hawksbill turtle. Types of coral reefs that are there can be seen without having to dive. Manado Tua island has an area of 1056.02 m2 and a coastline of 12,280 m. The island was once used as a base camp by the Portuguese and Dutch before entering the North Sulawesi. The beach on the island is dominated by white sand gently sloping so that visitors can also enjoy sunbathing or sun bathing or for visitors who like jogging can perform these activities in the morning or late afternoon




15. Air Terjun Tapahan Telu Tinoor 
(Tapahan Telu Tinoor Waterfalls)
Tapahan Telu Tinoor Waterfall  (Regesan) located in the village of Tinoor, North Tomohon sub district, Tomohon, North Sulawesi, Indonesia. Called three guesses as there are three waterfalls cascading from the cliff 60 meters high. This waterfall is located at the foot of Mount Empung, north of the city of Tomohon. Access entry is located in the main street of Tomohon Manado
